Community
More Than a Bookstore. Built to Show Up for Boise.
Curbside Books was built on the idea that bookstores shouldn't only live in buildings.
So we bring books to coffee shops, downtown streets, retirement communities, neighborhood events, charity drives, schools, markets, and other places where people are already out living their lives.
Sometimes someone comes for a latte and leaves with a novel. Sometimes they come for a puzzle. Sometimes they just pet Snoots.
Honestly, all valid outcomes.
More Than Pop-Ups
Yes, we're a mobile bookstore. But we're also interested in making Boise feel a little more connected, creative, and bookish.
That can look like:
Already Happening
- Trolley Gallery Nights featuring local artists
- Book drives and community give-back events
- Pop-ups with Boise coffee shops, wineries, markets, and neighborhood favorites
- Visits to retirement and senior living communities
- Collaborative events that start as one idea and turn into something better
In the Works
- Meet the Author evenings
- More reader gatherings and book clubs
- Literary retreats (officially in the works! Join the interest list and help shape them)
A Bookstore Can Be a Third Place
Independent bookstores have always been places people linger.
They browse. They talk. They accidentally stay 45 minutes.
We just added wheels.
Sometimes the trolley becomes a bookstore. Sometimes it becomes a tiny art gallery. Sometimes it becomes a conversation starter parked outside a coffee shop.
We like that for us.
Community Highlights
Some of our favorite ways the trolley gets to be more than a bookstore.
Trolley Gallery Nights
A rotating local art experience inside the trolley. Books on the shelves, art on the walls, good people nearby.
Retirement Community Visits
Because everyone deserves access to books, browsing, and the joy of picking something new.
Literacy & Book Drives
We love partnering with organizations doing real good in Boise.
Local Events & Pop-Ups
Markets, neighborhood hangs, downtown nights, and places where people are already gathering.
