Booking the Trolley
How do I book the trolley?
Head to our Book the Trolley page and send us your event details. We'll follow up to talk through timing, location, availability, and the best setup for your event.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit is typically required to secure your date. Final details are confirmed closer to the event.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits reserve your date and are generally non-refundable. If plans change, we'll always do our best to work with you on rescheduling when possible.
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier the better, especially for spring, fall, and weekends. Some dates book quickly.
What types of events do you do?
Private parties, birthdays, weddings, showers, corporate events, employee appreciation days, markets, school events, community gatherings, and events that are hard to categorize but sound fun.
Do you do weddings?
Absolutely. The trolley is excellent at weddings.
Logistics & Weather
Do you travel outside Boise?
Yes, depending on schedule, distance, and event fit. We regularly serve the Treasure Valley and may travel farther for the right event.
How much space do you need?
A safe parking area with enough room for a vintage trolley (typically around 30–35 feet) plus guest access.
Can the trolley come indoors?
Usually no. She is a trolley and prefers the outdoors.
What happens if it rains?
We operate in many weather conditions, but safety comes first. Depending on the event, we may proceed, adjust setup, or reschedule if conditions are severe.
Do you provide power?
The trolley is self-contained for many events. If shore power is available, great. If not, we often have options.
Can guests buy books during the event?
Yes. That's part of the fun.
Donations
What kinds of books do you accept?
We love clean, readable books people still want to read.
Great fits include fiction, recent nonfiction, children's books, cookbooks, art/design books, and popular genres in good condition.
What books are not a fit?
Water-damaged books, moldy books, smoke-damaged books, heavily marked copies, outdated textbooks, encyclopedias, and books in rough condition.
Can I donate books anytime?
Sometimes at pop-ups when space allows, but our monthly Books for the Trolley events are the best time to bring donations.
What happens to donated books?
Accepted books help stock Curbside Books shelves and keep affordable books moving through the community.
Shopping & Events
Where can I find your next pop-up?

Do you only sell used books?
We focus primarily on curated used books, with select new titles and bookish goods mixed in.
Can I request a specific book?
Sometimes. Reach out and we'll see what we can do.
Are prices affordable?
Very intentionally, yes.
